Our Talent
All of our artwork and product designs have been skilfully crafted by Rothbury born artist, Olwen Foggon. Rothbury is a beautiful market town in the heart of Northumberland, a county of outstanding beauty with huge skies and amazing coastlines.
Drawing and painting has been Olwen's passion from an early age, having been bought her first watercolour pad and paints, from her parents.
Olwen was taught art at Seahouses Middle school by Mr Anderson and Mrs Kirby, who both encouraged her to pursue her love of art further in the future.
Her inspiration derives from a wide range of subjects but mainly by the wilderness environments of Northumberland; from its stunning coastlines, castles & forests to flora, forna and magnificent, unique wildlife.
Olwen loves experimenting with a variety of mediums. From water colour, acrylic, experimenting in the new world of Virtual Reality and further exploration through various forms of digital artwork.
Olwen has been commissioned regularly for her illustration work, including the The British Red Cross medical handbook that went worldwide and book cover work for The Sandhill Press, Ghost and Legends Of Northumbria 1 & 2.
She now lives in Seahouses, a large traditional fishing village on the Northumberland coast in England.
The enchanting stretches of stunning beaches, bustling harbours, the continuous boat trips to the wildlife sanctuary of the Farne Islands (recently featured on David Attenborough's 'Wild Isles') are a constant inspiration for her art.
